She's back

Just a quick post today to share a few photos from DD's trip to Ethiopia. The photos above and below are the reason she made the trip...she loves children and hopes to be a pediatrician one day. Much of the trip was devoted to helping with the children in a couple of orphanages as well as bringing 4,000 books to stock two libraries and helping with construction of a library in a village about an hour outside Addis Ababa.

Bless her heart....I'm sure it to of been real difficult to leave. Years ago I visited a very poor village in the PI.....they were happy people thought didn't have much at all. Lesson learned.

What a wonderful experience! You must be proud of her. How lucky the world of children will be when she becomes pediatrician! My hat is off to her!

What a great experience! Our children are so fortunate to have such a wealth of opportunities as are available today to those with a little initiative and a sense of adventure.

Home safe and sound and I'm sure a little sad her journey is over. What she may not realize is that her journey is just beginning. I wish more kids could do this.

What a wonderful daughter you have to give her time to help others less fortunate. Looks like they have done an amazing job with the library and those kids are adorable.
